We found property, a little plot in northern cali, shockingly near both the beach and the redwoods. We traded size for beauty, and managed to make it happen within our very low price range. Still working on facilities, but we’ve been on the road long enough that just the luxury of not having to worry about being woken up in the middle of the night by cops is worth all the hoops we go through. Even the dog has his own place now! We had just gotten the paperwork settled when a storm came in and one of the kittens, Alfred our sweet little artist(for his white dipped tail) boy, had a panic attack. We didn’t know what to make of him crying and shaking, so we just held him until he calmed down. By the next morning he had stopped eating or drinking unless we forced him, becoming skin and bones before our eyes. By the next day he couldn’t hold his head up and seemed to be having seizures, so Aaron caved to my desperation and took him to a vet, where he died in the night. Watching a tiny creature that I loved from the day it was be put in the ground was something I had never experienced, and regardless of species, it sent me into depression for a few days. But I am surrounded by love- kind words from mom and dad, special meals and consideration from my community, and a loving message from a friend all came at the perfect time. Top that off with the first Zen Tempest official music video and it’s time to make art not grief.
Zen Tempest- Watch, Love, Change the World
And the lovely message from a dear friend at the perfect time, amazing how it happens! I love watching beauty come to life!
